According to insider NatetheHate, Nintendo could be planning a ground-up remake for the rumored Switch 2, possibly arriving in late 2026. While it’s unclear if it’ll be a faithful 1:1 remake or a reimagined version, early signs suggest something much bigger than a simple HD remaster.
This wouldn’t be the first time the classic has been updated fans still love the 2011 3DS version but a modern remake could take things to a whole new level. Plus, 2026 marks Zelda’s 40th anniversary, making the timing feel just right.
With a live-action Zelda movie also on the way, Nintendo may be gearing up to bring one of its most iconic adventures back into the spotlight.
⚠️ Keep in mind: nothing is officially confirmed yet, so take this with a grain of salt.
